Q: Why are some of the daily value percentages under 100%, while some are over? Wouldn’t I want my child to receive 100% of everything?

A: This is a great question! Fat-soluble vitamins, like vitamins A, D & E, are vitamins that are stored in the body, in contrast to water-soluble vitamins (like B vitamins), which are expelled when consumed in excess. Since the body stores fat-soluble vitamins, excess amounts can build up and create toxicity. A varied and healthy diet should provide the body with a good portion of these vitamins, but we know that doesn’t always happen, especially if your child is a picky eater or if there are dietary restrictions involved. We have formulated this gummy multivitamin to account for these factors as best we could. We recommend consulting with your child’s physician or healthcare professional to make certain this product is appropriate for your child’s nutrient needs!

Q: Do you have tips on children and vitamins?

A: Yes, we have a few! First and foremost: be sure to consult with your child’s physician or healthcare professional prior to use to make sure this product is suitable for your child. This is particularly true if your child is experiencing any health challenges, is taking any medications or if your child is under the age of twelve. As much as we pride ourselves on making great tasting vitamins, we do want to advise that you keep these gummy vitamins out of reach of your children. They are not candy and they should not be treated as such. It is possible to get too much of a good thing! Q: My child has MTHFR gene variant(s). Is this product safe for my child(ren)?

A: In general, when starting any new health and wellness supplement, you should check with your child's pediatrician, physician, or healthcare professional to make sure the supplement is suitable for your child. This is especially true when there is the added complexity of the MTHFR gene variants. We encourage you to partner with your child's healthcare professional to determine the best course of action.

Q: Why is there no iron in the Kids Gummy Multivitamin?

A: Iron is very difficult to formulate with, especially in gummy form. You'll be hard pressed to find a good tasting gummy multivitamin with iron that isn't overloaded with sugar. Not only that, but iron can interfere with the body's absorption of other vitamins and minerals. Micronutrient competition is important to keep in mind when formulating a gummy multivitamin for what micronutrients can be optimally absorbed, which is why we decided to not include iron in our gummy multivitamins. We do have a liquid iron supplement, in a delicious berry flavor, with easily adjusted serving sizes for the whole family!

Q: Why are you updating your gummy product labels?

A: We want parents to have the clearest guidance possible when it comes to using gummies with little ones. That’s why we’ve added a safety notice and updated age ranges — not because of any incidents, but to make sure families have the most up-to-date information. Gummies remain a safe and tasty option when chewed thoroughly and given with supervision, and these label updates are simply there to support parents in making confident choices.

Q: Should I stop giving these gummies to my 2- or 3-year-old?

A: Every child develops at their own pace, and parents — together with their pediatrician — are best positioned to decide what’s right. Our updated labels remove dosing directions for ages 2–3 on products not specifically made for toddlers, but that doesn’t mean gummies are off the table for your family. If gummies are working well for your child, our toddler-specific products are the best fit, and we always recommend supervising to be sure each gummy is chewed thoroughly.
